Artist Statement

Through my work I wont to take people on a journey through the way that I see the world. I want to capture peoples’ curiosity and make them question not only the way I capture an image but the reason behind the image. Even though the path that I take may be dark and sometimes disturbing I don’t want to frighten people away, but engulf them in my work. My work is mainly photography but I have been known to use the media of video making and so on the way you may experience this. I welcome everyone and I hope I can send you brain in a whirlwind of thoughts and by the end my aim Is to of led you through my journey of photography.

Reflect

For these sets of photos I looked into using Long Exposure and played with the idea of having an outer body experience. I called the Set ‘Reflect’ because I want to portray the idea of looking at yourself from the third person and reflecting what you see.

Also I put my pictures up on Flickr, http://www.flickr.com/photos/67908498@N06/sets/72157627938182710/

The Cosmos in a Glass

For my assignment I experimented with a glass of warm water and chose four liquids that I found in my room. I then decided to take pictures of the different formations that the liquids formed and look carefully at what I had found. I realised that when I inspected the formations carefully there were some lovely patterns and almost cosmos like, I then edited the pictures and cropped certain parts of the pictures and edited the colouring and effects to portray a cosmoses scene, which I found to be extremely successful.
